Shelly Law

In a city that brings in thousands of new residents every year, I’m a rarity—a Phoenix native. I was born and raised in north Phoenix, but spent a few years of my teens and early 20s in Utah. I never had a clear vision of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I graduated college with a bachelor's in Business Management. I wanted a versatile degree that wouldn't confine me to one field.

And then I had kids. My 4 kids became my life as I stayed home to raise them and my husband worked. Having the title of Mom is great, but I always felt destined for more. I loved staying home with the kids and watching them grow. But I knew I'd re-enter the workforce when the youngest started school. I've never been a fan of the corporate world and still wanted to be available for my kids, so I sought a flexible job. My husband and I had flipped a couple of homes, and real estate intrigued me. I spoke to a few realtor friends that I knew, and decided to jump in! I didn't know where it would take me. But I felt excited to contribute to managing the household finances.

Soon after, life happened, and I became a single mom. I had to support myself and my kids on one income. I felt terrified. I came from a divorced family. I didn't want my kids to suffer the financial hardship I had at their age. So, I determined to give them a better life. That's when I discovered my passion for helping people. Buying a home is usually the biggest financial decision of a person's life, and I love being a part of it.

I put my head down and went to work. With perseverance, my career took off. I spent a chunk of my career on various real estate teams. I love the camaraderie of working with other agents. But I felt a strong desire for personal and professional growth.

2023 was an eventful year! I remarried. I love to share that Rob and I met at the dog park. His three-year-old boxer and my six-month-old Aussie doodle fell in love. A real-life 101 Dalmatians story! Rob's a photographer, and as a bonus, he’s also a realtor! I also felt drawn to continue my education, so I went back to the classroom to get my broker's license. I then decided it was time to venture out as a solo agent and started planning a team of my own, which is when the Law Home Group became a reality.

My husband and I decided to shift our focus to families that are downsizing. Having both been through divorce and all that it entails, we can relate to this challenging stage of life. This also led me to create The Law Way Home Method. My new husband’s adult children were ready to move out on their own. So we decided it was best to sell both of our homes and downsize into something smaller.

Selling your home to move to a smaller one, no matter the reason, can feel overwhelming. It doesn't have to consume you. We're here to help walk you through the process, one step at a time. Your pain has once been our pain. But finding a new home CAN be exciting. We'd love to be your go-to real estate partners. But more than anything, we want to build solid friendships that can last a lifetime.
